While the world – and the way we travel – has changed a great deal since then, parents (and grandparents) still value vacations with their children.
For a successful getaway, we often recommend involving your children from the beginning, by requesting their input on where they would like to go and the activities they are interested in. They’ll not only look forward to the day of departure, but will also be more enthusiastic during the trip. Below are some family bonding thoughts to inspire your journey together.
Witness wildlife in its natural habitat. Feeling in awe of your surroundings and your place within them can be a very powerful experience to share as a family - whether it’s glimpsing migrating humpback whales in the warm waters off Hawaii, watching sea turtles from the shore in Los Cabos, or up close and personal with Galapagos Penguins. We will incorporate on-site preservation programs, in-house marine tours or educational seminars into your special family journey.
Imagine taking a Cooking Class together. We will curate a very special, hands on experience with a local chef, including a visit to a market first to choose the ingredients. Learn to make custard in Provence, prepare jerk chicken in Jamaica, pizza making in Pisa, or a lesson in authentic Mayan ingredients in Mexico.
Discover Volunteer Opportunities. Spending a day or a few hours giving back is a great way to bond as a family and leave your vacation feeling more fulfilled. Through our relationships on the ground with philanthropic organizations, we can arrange visits to small villages to plant trees, serve meals, or socialize with local children.
